MOOR PARK WIN 2018/19 Pearson Trophy County Finals

 The Semi Final:  Ashridge v Welwyn Garden City and Aldwickbury v Moor Park

Once all the games were out on the course the earlier ones were nearing the halfway point. By the time all the games were on the back nine it was proving difficult to predict who our finalists would be. It was very clear all the players were focused and capable of winning their matches.

As games began to conclude the first result went to Welwyn Garden City. This followed by a win to Aldwickbury the third to Welwyn Garden City and the fourth to Moor Park. The results were swinging back and forth, and it made for a very exciting morning for the spectators out on the course supporting theirs teams.

The first match was recorded as a win to Welwyn Garden City, closely followed by Moor Park who secured their victory and with a final game called in off the course.

It was clear the players who had fought so hard in their morning matches were ready to give it their best again in the afternoon. With spirits high and determination evident the matches were to commence.

 Once again with many drives long and true the spectators were in for an afternoon of great competitive golf. With all games out on the course it was once again proving difficult to predict a winner.

 It was on the fifteenth hole Moor Park were making a move in the first game going 1 up and by 17th they had won their first game. The second game was won by Welwyn Garden City, so it continued with all games focused and committed there was still everything to play for.

 It was late into the afternoon when our Chief Referee (Chris Medley) announced Moor Park as the winner of the Pearson County Finals in Hertfordshire calling the last games in off the course.
