Hertfordshire Women's Senior Section welcomes players who are aged 50+. 

Senior Team

The team plays a total of 9 matches per season, four in the Bucks, Beds, Herts, Hants & Oxfordshire region, four in the East Region (Suffolk, Norfolk and Esssex)  and one friendly match against Middlesex.   See above for the  match schedule.

All matches, excluding the friendly, are singles matches played off scratch with a team of either six or seven players competing.  Team kit and travel expenses are reimbursed.  If you are interested in finding out more, please email womens.seniors.manager@hertfordshiregolf.org. 

Women  Seniors Championship

This annual event is open to all those with an HI of 20.4 or less and includes a Veterans event for those over 65 on the day of the event.   Gross and Nett prizes are awarded and the winner is expected to accept the invitation to represent Hertfordshire in the  EG Senior Women's Champion of Champions Tournament the following year.

Winter Social Golf

For those with an HI of 13 or below, there is an informal society, the Senior Social Winter Golf circuit (SSWG) which meets every three weeks from the end of September to the end of March to play at local clubs in a fun team competition.  This group is run independently of Hertfordshire Golf.  For details on joining, please contact Karen Ellam.   Email: karen.pat.ellam@gmail.com or Phone: 07977 053757.
